The Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Student Movement (MGOCSM) is a member of the Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island Area. The MGOCSM offers support, guidance, and fellowship to youth over the age of 12. The MGOCSM focuses on three pillars: worship, study, and service. We maintain these pillars through our various events that occur throughout the year. We uphold worship by participating in Shehimo (Common) prayers during our events. We uphold study by attending book clubs, workshops, and Bible studies under the leadership of our Vicar and other invited priests, deacons, and seminarians. We uphold service by giving back to the community by partnering with various non-profit organizations. During these service events youth come together to donate their time and talents for the building of the surrounding community.
The MGOCSM also gathers regularly for fellowship events during which we check in with one another and offer support for those who are encountering difficulties. It is through these events that we, the youth of Saint Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church, hope to continue to grow in our faith and be faithful servants of Christ. Through our study, worship, and service we learn how to be servants of Christ and begin to walk down the narrow path, so that others may be inspired and also dedicate their lives to the Church. Under the prayerful leadership of our vicar and spiritual advisor, our MGOCSM continues to expand and stand strong in our faith and ministry.
